Commercial

Master Craft Finishers offers a full suite of coatings and finishes tailored to meet the diverse requirements of the commercial sector. With over 60 years of industry experience, we provide solutions that stand up to the rigors of commercial use.

What makes Master Craft Finishers a viable choice for commercial applications?

Master Craft's vast experience in durable paint and powder coat gives us the ability to create a long-lasting and aesthetically pleasing commercial finish. Many commercial finishers lack the pre-treatments necessary to create the adhesion needed for long-term durability. Regardless of the metal type, Master Craft has the experience to suggest and apply a finish that will last for decades to come.

Long-term Durability

Employing the latest pre-treatments and coating techniques, Master Craft is able to reliably process finishes for the most challenging and corrosive environments.

Powder or Paint

Regardless of the application a commercial processor may choose to utilize powder or paint. Though powder is impact-resistant it may not offer the environmental durability of certain types of paint like PVDF.

Coatings for Steel

Steel is a notoriously difficult metal to provide a warranty on based on its corrosive nature. Master Craft employees use proprietary techniques to reliably coat steel for commercial applications.

On-Site Match

Master Craft's ability to in-house match virtually any color allows us to accommodate for a structure's current visual appearance, even after years of fading.

Questions Regarding Commercial Applications

Top questions about commercial coating.

Commercial finishers are often required to follow paint or powder specification that vary greatly from one project to the next.

MCF has worked extensively with a variety of industrial commercial products and will have an understanding on how to apply or cure virtually any system. Part cleaning, part prep and pre treatment of metal prior to coating all contributes to our ability to create maximum adhesion for long term durability.

Commercial fabricators tend to gravitate towards powder coating. Powder coating is a dry polymer material that is applied with electrostatic charge and then cured at high temperature. Though powder coat is durable for physical impact it can be made more durable with proper pretreatment.

PVDF/Kynar or Architectural or industrial specific powder. Historically PVDF tends to have better UV and color preservation than powder. In recent years industrial powder applied to pretreated aluminum has proved to be nearly as durable as PVDF.

Avoid fabrication of steel unless it is structurally necessary. Steel, even galvanized or stainless has a tendency to rust over time. This is why most of the paint manufacture do not warranty coated steel but do provide extensive warranties for aluminum. Pretreated aluminum can be warrantied for 20+ year both in PVDF and powder by a licensed applicator.

This is possible with certain low or no temperature coatings. Powder is not possible due to its electrostatic nature and high temperature curing requirements. Though low temperature products can be used, the most durable products are cured at high temperatures making the available low/no temp options less reliable.
